What's On | The Conservators of Ashdown Forest Events

As the nights get longer its time to find out more about the creatures of the night. This session will be all about owls.

We will be learning through fun games, craft , careful observation and a short walk onto the Ashdown Forest .

Discover what owls eat by looking inside an owl pellet , .
Imagine you are a mouse could you escape capture from an owl ? Remember they have fantastic hearing and very sharp claws!
Make owl decorations to take home.

Children need to be accompanied by an adult however adults do not need to buy a ticket. Buy tickets for children only.

Most suitable for children aged 5years and over.

Please come dressed to be outside in all weathers with long trousers and closed toe shoes/trainers.

We will be learning through fun games, natural craft and a short exploring walk onto the Ashdown Forest .

Bats, tiny fury mammals, find their food by using their incredible hearing. Have a go at hunting like a bat and see if you can find your food by just using your ears !
Use natural materials to make bat decorations to take home.
Discover what bats are up to in autumn. Are they still out and about hunting for insects or tucked up in their winter hibernation sites?
