This year’s Remembrance Day service will take place at 11am on Sunday 12th November at the Airman’s Grave.

Crowborough/Stonehill Road will be closed to through traffic from 9am until 1pm. This is to ensure the safety of staff and visitors wishing to remember the fallen at the Airman’s Grave. Access will be allowed to the car parks only. There will be no parking payments required for the duration of the closure in the car parks between the cattle grids, and also Duddleswell and Shepherds car parks, as well as the car parks on the west side of the B2026 from Roman Road to Lodge car park.

With the present and predicted weather conditions, access on the Forest is extremely wet and slippery. In past years we have temporarily opened grass car parks; this may not be possible this year. If you wish to come, please arrive in plenty of time for the 20 to 30 minute walk to the Airman’s Grave.

There will not be a poppy drop.

Thank you for your support to the Forest Staff and Volunteers who will be marshalling this event to ensure it goes smoothly.
