From Monday 5th until Friday 16th June, the Forest Rangers will be undertaking car park and ride repairs. A contractor will be assisting us with this work.
On Monday we will start at Churlwood car park on the A275, removing the northern entrance and reducing its size down to the main parking area. This will hopefully prevent some of the unsociable activities which take place, such as fly-tipping.
Repairs to the Old Airstrip will follow where the winter storms have created severe erosion runnels. Other areas where works will take place will be around Shepherds Gate, Colemans Hatch, Gills Lap, Friends clump and the river crossing at Church Hill. As we get closer, we will post more information.

Work will continue today at the Airstrip and then hopefully late morning will move to the ride parallel to the road above the Birches, east of Townsends car park. We will return to finish work around Shepherds Gate on Wednesday 14th June.
